FAQs

How should I prepare for class?

Before class: don't eat at least one hour before class, longer if you are doing a strenuous style of class, drink plenty of water before, and after class. Bring a spill proof water bottle.

What clothing is appropriate?

Wear light, comfortable, stretchy clothing, yoga or exercise leggings, t-shirt, or comfortable tops. No jeans, no belts, no shoes, heavy jewelry, or perfumes during practice. We encourage taking your socks off during standing practices.

Arrive to class early

Arrive at least 15 minutes before the class starts. New students will need time to register, sign a waiver, place yoga mat, and gather props for class. Please turn cell phones off upon entering the studio. Keep voices low in the lounge/common area as classes may be in session.

What if I have health concerns?

Introduce yourself to the teacher before class begins. Let them know about any health concerns you might have and let them know this is your first class. Feel free to ask questions before and after class!

Listen to your body

Pace yourself and listen to your body. Feeling overheated or dizzy, and need to rest? No worries. Take a deep breath, sit or lie down, and take a quick break. We encourage not leaving the room- whenever possible stay on your mat and relax.

You and your practice

Be patient. Everyone in the class may be at different levels so allow yourself several classes to get into the flow – remember, the more you practice, the more youʼll benefit from each class.
